Product & Trade Compliance Manager (m/f/d)

As Product & Trade Compliance Manager you’ll make sure our products meet all relevant regulatory requirements for the European and US markets. You’ll own key Product and Trade Compliance topics, ensure correct product classification and labeling, and coordinate customs clearance together with our external Customs Brokers and agency partners.

You’ll work closely with Buying, Product and Supply Chain, identify compliance risks early and make sure our products reach our markets reliably, efficiently and in full compliance.

• Own Product and Packaging Compliance across the EU and US markets
• Ensure packaging, cartons, polybags and product labels meet relevant EU requirements, particularly the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR)
• Ensure compliance with relevant US requirements, including Country-of-Origin Marking, Textile Fiber Content and Care Labeling
• Independently monitor and interpret relevant EU and US legislation and proactively identify compliance risks
• Own complete and compliant documentation, including Technical Files and Compliance Records
• Review products, packaging and labeling proofs prior to production release
• Determine and validate correct HS/TARIC classifications for the EU and HTS classifications for the US
• Monitor classification risks across the entire product portfolio
• Support duty and landed cost optimization together with the Buying team
• Act as the internal point of contact for our external Customs Brokers and agency partners across the EU and US
• Prepare and review relevant customs documentation, including Commercial Invoices, classifications and proof of origin
• Coordinate customs clearance with our external partners
• Ensure accurate and efficient collaboration with our Customs Brokers
• Understand and support relevant customs processes, including ATLAS in Germany, CBP entry processes in the US, and Direct and Indirect Customs Representation

• Proven experience in Product Compliance, Trade Compliance or a comparable regulatory environment
• Strong knowledge of EU product safety and packaging legislation, particularly GPSR
• Good knowledge of relevant US requirements, particularly Country-of-Origin Marking and Textile Labeling
• Experience with HS/TARIC or HTS Product Classification
• Confident working with regulatory texts and independently interpreting and applying legal requirements
• Experience working cross-functionally with Buying, Product, Supply Chain and external partners
• Highly structured and detail-oriented working style
• Strong sense of ownership and the ability to identify potential compliance risks early
• Experience with customs clearance processes or working with Customs Brokers is a plus
• Experience in Apparel, Textiles or Consumer Goods Import Compliance is a plus
• Knowledge of Direct and Indirect Customs Representation is a plus
• Very good English skills, both written and spoken; German is a plus
